About The Artist
De Anne fell in love with art at a very young age, her first oil painting was at age 7, and she has made her childhood dream to be an artist, come true. DeAnne has been a commercial artist and sign painter since 1989. Attending George Brown College of Applied Arts from 1989 to 1992 to study Sign Design and Production, Commercial Art and Airbrush Illustration. Taking additional courses in Airbrushing and art metal work. DeAnne’s passion for the artistic side of the Sign Graphics course, it is no wonder that adding murals to her skills was an obvious choice.
DeAnne has owned her own company since 1990, and has been commissioned to do work for Keith Richards, Mariah Carey, and the Bobby Orr Hall of Fame for Don Cherry, plus thousands of other commissions. She has worked in film and commercials, painting props and wardrobe; as well as special events for companies like Warner Brothers, Converse, and Teletoon. Her art has been and sold at ‘Canadian Music Week’, ‘Molson Indy’ Toronto and Vancouver, and Collage 2003. She has been a featured guest at numerous trade shows, like The International Motorcycle Supershow, and Metalfest.
She is a member of the Beach Guild of Fine Art, and the Don Valley Art Club, exhibiting her original paintings at 2 to 6 shows per year with them. De Anne has created murals for the City of Toronto, Bia’s, and independent businesses. Her passion is painting animals, she hopes her art will inspire the care of our planet’s wildlife and the planet we call home.
